Process Engineer (Aerospace)

Roles & Responsibilities Work alongside the manufacturing engineering team and shop floor to create work instructions. Develop, produce, and modify process operation and assembly sheets (Solumina preferred). Understand basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques. Manage various projects and tasks while following the approval process for authoring operation sheets. Communicate technical subject matter proficiently, in both written and verbal form. Diagnose production issues using cause & effect analysis; a strength in troubleshooting. Apply RCCA methodology and own actions to reduce product nonconformance. Rationalize and implement inspection methods and techniques. Manage project tasks and follow up on daily progress. Create presentations based on process data and results to showcase opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings. Handle various project and process tasks related to product quality. Required Skills (Technical Competencies) Ability to create clear and concise work instructions (Solumina preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Solid understanding of manufacturing operations. Knowledge of tools, gauges, and fixtures. Proficient in blueprint reading. Experience generating operation sheets. Desired Skills Ability to identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or enhanced product reliability. Working knowledge of 3D modeling. Familiarity with Teamcenter and NX. Self‑motivated, accountable, disciplined, passionate about engineering, and organized to track multiple work streams. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to multitask while driving actions to completion. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Shop floor and office work. Highly regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines. Typical 8‑hour days plus lunch; 40‑hour weeks; core hours 9 AM to 4 PM. Due to the nature of work, candidates must be U.S. citizens.
