Position Title: Occupational Therapist

Department: Special Student Services

Location: Nestucca Valley School District

Reports To: Program Coordinator

Compensation: Per negotiated contract, Licensed Salary Schedule (Salary Range $56,530.85 - $104,459.67; DOE)

Bargaining Unit: NWEA

FTE: 0.20 FTE - works one day per week; 8 hours per day

General Duties

In alignment with the NWRESD's mission statement, this position evaluates and provides occupational therapy services to children who have mental and/or physical disabilities and who are on a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or an Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). This position also provides consultative and/or direct service in assistive technology.

• Valid state of Oregon Occupational Therapy license.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Minimum of two years experience working with children.
• Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification through RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering Assistive Technology Society of North America), preferred
• Valid Driver's License; available transportation and proof of auto insurance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

3. Confer regularly with immediate supervisor

4. Proficient in the use of computer and internet-based applications, including but not limited to email, internet software, Google Suite, and word processing (MS Word)

5. Ability to deliver and articulate oral presentations and written reports, including OT assessments, as well as parent and staff training on topics related to the field of occupational therapy, such as self-regulation, sensory-processing, and fine motor and adaptive skills.

6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff, administration and community partners
