Recruitment Consultant

Woods & Co is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to build and own a full 360 desk out of our Manhattan office. We are a boutique agency, founded in Australia, and we are running a very different playbook in North America. Consultative, relationship led, phone first. In a market that has gotten comfortable hiding behind automation and inboxes, we call people. We meet them. We tell clients what they actually need to hear. That is not something we grow out of as we scale. It is the reason we are scaling. We recruit across manufacturing, sales and business services, digital and IT, financial services and hospitality. The US business is where we are investing hardest right now, and the people who join at this stage will shape what it becomes. This is not a desk you inherit. You bring the experience and the relationships. We bring the platform, the systems, the coordinator support and the room to build something that is genuinely yours. Then we get out of the way and let you build it. We are open on vertical. If you know a market well and want to keep building it, we will back you. If you want to build something new, we will help you work out where the opportunity sits. There is also scope for the right person to build out our temp and contract offering in the US, which is largely untapped and would sit alongside a perm desk rather than replace it. Build, manage and grow your own portfolio of clients Drive consistent business development through proactive outreach, client meetings and networking Manage end to end recruitment across your live roles Work closely with Coordinators to improve speed and quality of delivery Get in front of clients regularly and represent us well when you do What do you need? Proven billing experience as a 360 Recruitment Consultant A track record of self generated business development, not just delivery on roles handed to you Someone who backs themselves on the phone and would rather have the real conversation than send the safe email Confidence with senior stakeholders and comfort sitting across the table from a founder or hiring lead Commercial judgment, including knowing which roles are worth working and which are not Consistency and resilience, the kind that shows up on a quiet week as much as a good one A genuine interest in building something rather than maintaining it Woods & Co Recruitment is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
