Mechanical Designer
Direct Hire
Robinson Township area, PA – On site
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 + Benefits (based on experience)

Description
Create detailed design drawings and related specifications of mechanical/electrical equipment according to engineering sketches, specifications, and related data/drawings.
Determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts - These may include foundations, steel structures, refractories piping and ductwork systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs basic and complex layouts from information specified by others.
• Responsible for as-built drawings at the end of a project.
• Performs detailed dimensional and bill of material check of all drawings.
• Create 3D models and detail drawings with Autodesk Invento
• Creating bill of materials
• Collaboration with other disciplines to create layouts and detail drawings
• Assists in determining how to best meet job requirements.
• Ask questions and address issues during the project work.
• Checks entire job for interferences and constructability.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Drafting and an Associate degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent experience.
• AutoCAD and Inventor 3D required
• Understanding of mechanical and Structural drafting disciplines.
• Knowledge of fabrication, purchasing, and field installation/construction.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
• Strong communication skills and organization of documents.
