As a Guest Services Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be the steady hand behind a great stay—keeping the property safe, efficient, and welcoming. Your day blends planned preventive maintenance with quick, professional responses to guest requests and unexpected repairs.

You start by walking key areas—guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house—spotting issues before they become problems. A guest calls about a humming A/C unit; you diagnose and resolve it with care and a smile. Later, you log your work, coordinate a contractor for a specialty repair, and complete room turns and inspections to maintain brand and quality standards. If an urgent situation arises, you jump in—whether it’s a plumbing leak, an electrical hiccup, or an HVAC alert.

• Routine and preventive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical issues
• Rapid, professional responses to guest maintenance requests and work orders
• Inspections for safety hazards, needed repairs, and code compliance in rooms and common areas
• Minor repairs: painting, drywall, fixtures, appliances, doors, locks, and flooring
• Care of building systems: boilers, water heaters, air-conditioning units, and ventilation systems
• Room turns and preventive inspections to uphold brand and quality standards
• Accurate maintenance logs and timely completion of work orders
• Strict adherence to safety procedures, including proper tool, chemical, and PPE use
• Vendor coordination and oversight of contracted services when needed
• Participation in on-call and emergency response coverage, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in hotel, apartment, or facilities maintenance preferred
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance practices
• Safe use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Resourceful problem-solving and strong troubleshooting ability
• Excellent time management and task prioritization
• Customer-focused approach with professional communication
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license (if required for the property)

• Standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Comfort using ladders and working in confined spaces
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Full-time / Part-time
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
