Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekly Contract Weeks: 13

Active RN license in New York

2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical with stroke stepdown experience

Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS required for this unit and can be obtained prior to start)

EMR experience with EPIC

Provide care to patients in a medical surgical stroke stepdown unit

Monitor and manage patients with various diagnoses including stroke, renal issues, respiratory conditions, and others

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Document care and patient progress accurately

Participate in patient care planning and contribute to discharge planning

Submission must include any relevant requests for time off (RTO).
