Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac catheterization lab License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experienced in circulating cardiac cath and structural cases. Working knowledge of cardiac cath lab equipment and procedures. Competency in moderate sedation. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The unit is equipped with standard cath lab equipment from various manufacturers. The nurse will work as part of a team in a 3-person lab with a 4-person call team. The patient ratios in the unit will be 2 patients per lab. The documentation system utilized in the unit includes Merge and Meditech. The nurse will be responsible for circulating during cardiac cath and structural cases. Advanced skills are preferred, including the ability to scrub and assist with the physician. Previous experience in monitoring cases is also preferred. Various procedures will be performed, including standard cardiac cath and structural cases. The dress code requires navy, royal blue, or gray scrubs. Call shifts may reach up to 14 per month, with a standard of 10-12 shifts monthly.
