Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct initial assessments through detailed interviews and documentation while tracking client progress from entry to termination of treatment.

  • Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health status, identifying key areas for intervention.
  • \n
  • Design and implement customized intervention and recovery plans catered to various demographics—individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • \n
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, group therapy, and psychoeducational workshops tailored to the needs of clients.
  • \n
  • Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on feedback and outcomes.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, on comprehensive treatment strategies.

  • Provide follow-up support to clients, maintaining effective communication with members of their care team, particularly when clients are admitted to inpatient facilities.

  • Identify barriers to recovery early and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.

  • Assist relatives and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health issues of their loved ones, fostering a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse range of clients who present with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use challenges. You will work closely with individuals from various backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and fostering a trust-based therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current, active, and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
  • \n
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • \n
  • Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, with a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
  • \n
  • Understanding of co-occurring mental and physical health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of current best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

  • Proficient in clinical documentation and treatment planning.
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey treatment plans and collaborate with other care providers.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help clients navigate their mental health challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, which includes a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our dedicated team.
