Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves working in a surgical medical unit, providing patient care, and supporting a teaching hospital environment. Orientation is scheduled every other Monday, with assignments typically ending on Saturdays. The role requires prior travel experience, charge responsibilities, and a commitment to contributing to a culture of support and education.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical specialty; active VA or Compact license; BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; prior charge experience and working in a teaching hospital environment preferred; all RTO requests must be included in the submission packet.
• Preferred Qualifications: Teaching hospital experience and charge nurse responsibilities
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Orientation occurs every other Monday with start date on 08/10/2026. The assignment includes 2-3 weekends per month depending on unit needs. All providers must complete limited RTO documentation at submission and comply with COVID/Flu vaccination declination policies. The facility is a teaching hospital with frequent interactions with students and new hires, fostering a supportive culture.
