Pay: $17.50 per hour plus tips
Schedule: Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Nep Cafe Irvine is looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, providing timely and friendly guest service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating consistent, quality drinks for every guest.

• Prepare coffee, mixed drinks, and other beverages according to recipes.
• Provide friendly and accurate service to guests.
• Educate guests on beverage options and answer menu questions.
• Maintain full knowledge of the drink menu.
• Follow proper bar etiquette, including FIFO practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all working areas.
• Follow basic sanitation, food handling, handwashing, and health code standards.
• Operate and maintain bar tools and equipment.
• Report equipment issues to management when needed.
• Check, restock, and maintain bar inventory and supplies.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

• Food Handler Card required (training provided if needed)
• RBS certification required, if applicable.
• 6 months to 1 year of barista, beverage, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests and team members effectively.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle payments accurately.
• Ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Strong attention to detail and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

$17.50 per hour
