ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

We are seeking an innovative, motivated ServiceNow Developer / Administrator to join a highly skilled team operating in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will contribute directly to designing architecture and developing automated workflow solutions that keep enterprise operations running seamlessly in a hybrid cloud environment. As a ServiceNow specialist at Nyla, you won't just manage forms and records—you will take true ownership of self-hosted ServiceNow instances. You'll build custom workflows, craft service requests, develop views and reports, and execute seamless process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration. The annual base salary range for this role is $159,000-$188,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

ServiceNow Platform Administration Development: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring, customizing, troubleshooting, and upgrading self-hosted ServiceNow instances.

Linux/UNIX Infrastructure: Direct experience troubleshooting and navigating Linux/UNIX system environments hosting application services.

Scripting Software Development: Proficiency in JavaScript (or similar modern programming languages) to develop workflows, client scripts, and business rules.

Web Interfaces: Strong familiarity with web interface technologies including HTML, CSS, and XML.

Mentorship Documentation: Proven ability to create clear technical documentation and mentor junior engineers and administrators.

Communication Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a track record of working effectively in team environments.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 10+ years of professional software development experience OR High School Diploma / GED , PLUS 15+ years of hands-on technical software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience with Java development and custom API integrations.

Hands-on experience operating within cloud platforms, specifically AWS.

Proven track record reviewing operational workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and implement process efficiencies.

Official ServiceNow Certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator [CSA], Certified Application Developer [CAD]).
