Start Date: ASAP | Available Shifts: 4-5 day work week | Compensation: $700,000 - $950,000
We are representing a physician-led, non-profit healthcare system located in the Southern Tier of New York, looking for a board-eligible or board-certified otolaryngologist to become part of a collaborative team. This role involves establishing a comprehensive ENT practice with 2-3 days dedicated to clinic work and 1-2 full operating room days each week, supported by audiology services, advanced practice providers, and a dedicated scheduling team. The on-call rotation is 1:5, with additional compensation, and you will have access to a Level II Trauma environment, along with optional academic involvement with a local university. The organization utilizes Epic for electronic medical records, and Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) enhances documentation efficiency.
Opportunity Highlights- Attractive Base Salary: Ranges from $700,000 to $950,000, with work relative value unit (wRVU) incentives available after reaching a threshold; salary review occurs in the second year (or third year for visa-sponsored candidates).
- Additional Incentives: Includes retention bonuses ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, loan repayment options up to $75,000, and relocation assistance between $2,500 and $10,000.
- Balanced Schedule: Typically consists of 2-3 clinic days and 1-2 full operating room days per week, with the possibility of a four-day workweek.
- Shared Call: 1:5 rotation (one week at a time); call volume is manageable and compensated separately.
- Integrated Support: Audiology services are owned by the group, with a team that includes 3.0 advanced practice providers, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical office assistants, and a dedicated operating room scheduler.
- Facilities & Technology: Surgeries are performed at the main medical center, an ambulatory surgery center, and in-clinic; Epic EMR and DAX are utilized for ambient scribing.
- Teaching Opportunities: Residents and medical students from a local university may rotate through the practice.
- Candidate Requirements: Must be board-eligible or board-certified in otolaryngology; eligible for J-1/H-1 visas; must possess or be able to obtain a New York medical license.
