Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Pathology Assistant studies (required)
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Pathology Assistant in a hospital or clinical laboratory
• Experience with surgical specimen gross examination (grossing) and autopsy assistance
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented pathology/laboratory environment
• Willingness to follow laboratory safety, quality assurance, and compliance procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pathologists with preparation, gross examination, and dissection of surgical specimens (surgical pathology grossing)
• Perform autopsy procedures under the supervision of a pathologist
• Prepare and maintain accurate specimen records, pathology documentation, and gross descriptions
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with pathologists, histology staff, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and timely diagnosis
