What You’ll Do As a Billing Specialist, you’ll be part of a collaborative team responsible for billing and accounts receivable across our nationwide behavioral health services. You’ll manage daily invoicing, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely collections with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary contact for customers, therapists, clinical managers, and account executives on billing issues. Perform daily accounts receivable (A/R) invoicing and post transactions in the billing system. Research and resolve payment discrepancies; communicate with customers as needed. Manage customer outreach to collect outstanding balances and reconcile disputes. Run weekly aging reports and follow up on past‑due accounts. Partner cross‑functionally with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time. Contribute to process improvement projects across the billing function. Complete other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Education & Experience: Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 3+ years in Accounting, with emphasis on A/R and Collections preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Experience with Waystar required. Familiarity with Kronos or Great Plains preferred. Professional Skills: Strong communication and customer service abilities. Highly organized, analytical, and detail‑oriented. Physical Requirements Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Regular use of hands, wrists, and fingers. Visual acuity for document and computer work. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
