Sr Equipment Maintenance Technician

job summary:
A prominent textile manufacturing company in the Statesville, NC area is seeking a Level 2 Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving mechanical and electrical systems within the manufacturing facility to ensure improved uptime and efficiency. This role requires technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. The role is paid hourly in the $35/hr range, plus paid overtime.

responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V) and mechanical devices using testing instruments and technical documentation.

• Dismantle and repair defective parts using hoists, cranes, and various tools while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment such as lathes, end mills, and grinders.
