Our physician group has been delivering exceptional neonatal care in the Sacramento area since the establishment of our Neonatology Program in 1974.

Organization Details

Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a leading medical center in Sacramento is a busy 61-bed Level IV facility, accommodating approximately 1,200 admissions annually, with plans to expand to 81 beds. Additionally, we operate a 16-bed Community Level NICU in Roseville, CA, which sees around 450 admissions each year and is also set for expansion.

We provide a range of advanced treatments, including conventional and high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic whole-body hypothermia for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), pre-surgical care for complex congenital heart conditions, and pre-ECMO care. Our services are supported by a strong network of medical and surgical subspecialties.

Our regional transport team, consisting of specially trained nurses and respiratory therapists, ensures safe patient transfers to our NICUs via ground or air across a vast area covering 27 counties. We are equipped to deliver high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and active whole-body hypothermia during transport.

We take pride in our outstanding neonatal outcomes, consistently surpassing benchmarks by delivering evidence-based medical care. Among California's regional NICUs, we boast one of the highest survival rates without significant morbidity for neonates.
