Job Overview

Proactively manages the planning system outputs and controls to balance inventory performance with order fill.Releases parts requirements to the supply chain and manages move in/move out signals from the planning system. Monitors and analyzes demand trends, forecasts, target inventory levels and recommends system parameter changes to department management.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Plan $40-50M+ of inventory by using computer systems to fulfill customer requirements while controlling on hand inventory levels.
• Communicate effectively with sourcing group, customer service and expeditor(s) to fulfill order requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis, establish counter measures and maintain performance metrics to achieve business plan objectives.
• Process defective material by effectively working with supplier, warehouse, quality, and sourcing groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Materials Management & Allocation Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations or Business or an Associate's degree in combination with relevant work experience, CPIM, CSCP or CPM Certification a plus.
• Manufacturing, production planning and/or whole goods product experience a plus
• Supplier management skills
• Extreme sense of urgency and bias for action
• Welcomes accountability and responsibility - individual and shared
• Change agent
• 1 - 3 year experience in planning and supply chain execution
• Professional PC skills in Excel, Power Point, and high-level user skills in Inventory Planning System
• Must be dependable, self-driven, and detail oriented
• Physical Requirements: requires sitting for extended periods of time over 90% of the work period to complete detailed work, typically using a PC. The position occasionally requires working extended periods to meet time sensitive deadlines.

Additional Information

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $59,400 - $67,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
