Position Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Manager 2, Program Planning on our Schedule Management team supporting the Strike Program in Palmdale, CA, El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA. Travel: 25% if located in Palmdale, CA and 50-75% travel in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing a team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts, conducting performance reviews, developing team knowledge, and coordinating the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives. Ensure program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated. Provide weekly status and reporting; conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits. Implement scheduling best practices including DCMA 14-point, IPMR DI-MGMT-81861, NDIA EIA-748-32 Guidelines, EVMS, CPM, SRA, and schedule health metrics. Analyze capacity, resources, and costs; present findings and recommendations to leadership; create presentation content for various leadership levels. Collaborate with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a Business and/or STEM discipline and 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering experience; OR Master’s degree with 5 years of the same experience. Active DoD Secret Clearance Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Special Access Programs Clearance prior to start Willingness to work on-site full time in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Project Server environment Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk Some Finance knowledge Experience and knowledge in both EV Cost and Schedule Management Assessment (SRA) approach and execution Excellent two-way communication skills (upward and downward) and ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and executive leadership We offer flexible work arrangements, learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and an inclusive environment. The salary range is a guideline; offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be eligible. Employees in VP/Director roles may be eligible for Long-Term Incentives.
