Director of Pharmaceutical Operations leading the Integrated Process Team at a new small molecule manufacturing site in Virginia. Responsible for site strategy, operational ramp-up, manufacturing excellence, financial stewardship, quality compliance, and people leadership.

Responsibilities

Serve on site leadership team and align pharmaceutical operations priorities with company strategy
Lead development of future-state operating model and support site start-up and operational ramp-up activities
Ensure safe, compliant, reliable pharmaceutical operations through daily management and performance monitoring
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and performance metrics
Lead, coach, and develop team of leaders to build high-performing organization

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related technical discipline
10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments
Leadership experience in manufacturing, technical operations, quality, engineering, or production planning
Experience managing teams with direct and indirect reports
Strong knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, regulatory readiness, and safety practices
Demonstrated experience with operational planning and project leadership
