Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,253 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

• Shift: 12 hours, days, nights

Unit -Stepdown/MedSurg - 1 Year Exp Required - ACLS, BLS Required
Common diagnoses/Types of patients

- Flex unit: Serves both floor and step-down patients, based on patient and hospital needs.

- Diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses - medicine unit
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Looking for new and experienced nurses; We need the candidates to be able to handle a 6 patient (med-surg) or a 3 patient (stepdown)

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: RNs will have orders written to titrate drips.

Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: There are nurse aids (we call them Clinical Associates or CAs here). The goal is to have 3 CAs at all times so the ratio would be 1:10

RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Will see CPAP, BiPAP on floor and stepdown. Will see HiFlow and vents in stepdown; if vents need settings adjusted they go to ICU.
