Travel Physical Therapist - $1,889 per week

Job Description & Requirements Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Covington, Georgia. Start date: 07/06/2026. 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts. The role is a travel assignment through Fusion Medical Staffing. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management to promote long‑term recovery. Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patient comfort. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued progress in community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical therapy experience; new graduates welcome to apply. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Reading and written communication in English. PC skills. Physical Abilities – able to remain stationary, move, lift 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills – work effectively with diverse personnel while maintaining a positive attitude. Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation, push/pull, assist in procedures. Mental Requirements – cope with frequent general public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration.
