Quality Inspector - SC 2nd shift

Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector is accountable for the inspection of all products and raw materials, under the direction of the Quality Manager.ResponsibilitiesUse a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments where work instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results.Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.Follow proper procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that Work Instructions are being followed.Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of measuring equipment used in performing the work as necessary.Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.Must maintain Inspection stamp.Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneouslyFlexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtimeDQR / SQA experience preferredComply with OSHA, health, safety and environment requirements.May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.RequirementsHigh School diploma or Equivalent degree required4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment2+ years inspection experience preferred (non-aerospace acceptable)Strong attention to detail requiring thoroughness of completing work tasksSuperior integrity at all timesStrong teamwork and cooperation skillsAbility to be adaptable and flexible to changing work environment and assignmentsDemonstrated dependability in fulfilling obligationsDemonstrated initiative to willingly take on responsibilities and challengesProficient analytical thinking requiring analysis of information and use of logic to address issuesProficient in Microsoft Office and various Manufacturing ERPs (Job Boss, Unipoint)Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishPhysical RequirementsMedium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.The worker may be required to move, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and/or complete repetitive motions during course of work.Visual RequirementsThe worker is required to have visual acuity typical of administrative, operational, close assembly, inspection personnel.
