Daycare Teacher

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, lessons, and play experiences.Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, and nap time.Observe and document children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.Promote positive behavior using appropriate guidance and classroom management techniques.Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Child Development Associate (CDA), Early Childhood Education certification, or related degree preferred.Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.Skills and AbilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 40 pounds.Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day.Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
