Summary: Our Top 20 CPA and advisory firm is hiring a Senior Manager to lead affordable housing audit engagements — LIHTC/Section 42 partnerships, HUD-assisted properties, and Uniform Guidance single audits. You'll own a large, high-growth portfolio, manage a team of seniors/staff, and work directly with an Audit Partner. Ideal for someone with deep affordable housing/real estate audit expertise who's ready for real portfolio ownership. What You’ll Own Lead and execute audit engagements from planning through completion. Prepare and review audit workpapers, trial balances, and financial reporting deliverables. Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and team workloads. Compile financial statements and present audit findings to clients. Communicate financial reporting matters and audit conclusions to client stakeholders. Build and maintain long‑term client relationships. Coach, mentor, and develop staff accountants and engagement teams. Travel to client sites as needed. Must-Haves Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Active CPA license. 7+ years of public accounting experience. Experience leading audits and managing client engagements. Affordable Housing and/or Real Estate industry expertise. Experience supervising, coaching, and developing accounting professionals. Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and audit procedures. Nice to Have Master’s degree in Accounting. Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously. Prior leadership experience within a growing professional services organization.
