You will manage complex and medically fragile patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure smooth transitions of care from admission through discharge.This position is ideal for a physician who values clinical excellence, teamwork, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in a community hospital setting.What You'll DoProvide inpatient care for adult hospitalized patients from admission through dischargeManage complex, acutely ill medical patientsParticipate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordinationRespond to changes in patient condition in a timely and effective mannerOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plansCollaborate closely with nursing, specialists, and support servicesEnsure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient transitions of careMaintain accurate and timely medical documentationQualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineCurrent unrestricted medical license in the state of IllinoisCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationHospitalist or acute care experience preferredSchedule & LocationPosition: Medical Hospitalist – Acute CareDepartment: Hospital MedicineStatus: Full-TimeGateway Regional Medical Center2100 Madison AvenueGranite City, IL 62040CompensationCompetitive salary with performance-based incentives.Compensation is determined based on education, experience, board certification, and relevant skills.
