Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Acute Care Occupational Therapist Position Overview The Acute Care Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality patient-centered care within a short-term acute care environment. The role requires expertise in working with individuals in an inpatient setting to promote recovery and enhance functional abilities. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and assess patient needs to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' daily living skills and overall functionality. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document patient progress using Epic electronic health record system. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Schedule and Requirements Position will float between various units as required. Weekend shifts are required, fluctuating between 2-4 weekends per month. Block schedules are mandatory. Current Occupational Therapy license is required. Prior experience in an inpatient acute care hospital setting is essential.
