Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist (Schools)
Company: Strides Therapy & Educational Services
Location: Pensacola, FL
School District: Escambia County Public Schools
About Us: Strides Therapy & Educational Services is a leading local provider of speech-language pathology services within the public school systems in Maryland. We are dedicated to empowering students with the communication skills they need to succeed academically and socially. Our team of professionals is committed to excellence, innovation, and making a positive difference in the lives of the students we serve. We are a therapist and woman-owned and operated company.
Position Overview:
As a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the school setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide evidence-based interventions to support student success.
Additional Details: Number of Hires: usually 1-2 Expected Hours per week: 40 Workplace Setting: school Work Setting (Indeed): School The school year starts for employees on August 4, 2026. Anyone secured before that date will be anticipated to start with regular employees. This will allow the opportunity for training and caseload scheduling before students return on August 12, 2026. These positions would follow the district calendar for dates of employment from August 4, 2026, to May 27, 2027, with 190 working days. We are not currently able to confirm exact schools as we are still in the process of placing direct hire employees. The caseload may be itinerant depending on the needs within the district. These are 40-hour work week positions with time built into the schedule for paperwork and documentation. No duties are assigned (e.g., bus duty, car rider duty). All caseloads are approximately 60-65 students. All schools potentially have a range of general education students needing speech/language therapy as well as 1-2 self-contained special education classrooms. Some elementary schools may also have 1-2 pre-kindergarten special education classes. We are open to CFYs. Our district has a strong infrastructure for SLP support with district-level SLI Staffing Specialists who assist with paperwork and training, an AAC specialist, and an ESE Director whose background is as an SLP.
