Employees at DataVox are offered the following:An amazing atmosphere to challenge yourself and grow career!Comprehensive health, vision and dental insurance for you and your dependentsCompany paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance401(k) and Roth retirement plan with company matchSponsored 529 College Savings PlanProfessional development reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid vacation and sick timePaid company holidaysAnnual Health and Wellness FairsVirtual and in-person team & company events – Ice Cream Social, Employee Appreciation Day, Halloween contests, Thanksgiving potluck, Holiday parties, "Support our team" days, Texans, Astros, and Dinamo watch parties, and more!Mileage and phone reimbursementOpportunity to make decisions that positively impact the environment through sustainable business practices.Employee engagement clubsWhat You'll Do:Support account managers during customer discovery meetings, site surveys, and presentations.Develop AV solutions, budgets, BOMs, and technical proposals based on customer requirements.Present technical solutions and recommendations to customers, consultants, and stakeholders.Conceptualize audio visual system designs and determine system requirements.Assist with proposal development, scope creation, and technical responses to customer requests.Identify technical risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities.Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video, and control solutions.Work directly with clients and project team to develop budgets, timelines, and managing expectations.Coordinate project handoff meetings with operations and project management teams.Work closely with the DataVox sales team, operations team, other design engineers, and manufacturers.Maintain expertise on emerging AV, UC, collaboration, and workplace technologies.Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction.What You Need:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience2 to 5+ years' experience with Audio Visual system designStrong customer-facing and presentation skillsExperience supporting consultative technology salesExperience developing AV budgets, BOMs, and proposalsExperience responding to RFPs and bid requestsUnderstanding of the AV project lifecycle from discovery through project completionAVIXA CTS Certification preferred, CTS-D or CTS-I a plusUnderstanding of control system products and applications (Crestron/Extron/QSC/AMX, etc.)Manufacturer certifications (Crestron/Extron/QSC/AMX/BiAmp/Shure/Audinate, etc.)Ability to read architectural and construction drawingsExperience in estimating laborA team player with a high degree of self-motivationProfessional and personable demeanor with good written/verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook, MS ExcelExperience with web conferencing platforms (Teams/ZOOM/WebEx, etc.)Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Collaboration solutions, and enterprise AV technologiesExperience with Digital Signage a plusExperience with D-Tools a plusPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. Work will normally be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on location of the SE. On rare occasions the employee may be exposed to construction site conditions. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the General Contractor. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 50% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision.Travel:Occasional travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of Texas. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current IRS rate. Approximately 90% of travel is local and consists of driving to job sites within a two-hour radius each way.
