Robot Operator

As a Robot Operator, you combine hands-on work with robotic systems and careful data review to support advanced automation and AI training. You will teach robots manipulation skills, generate high-quality motion and grasping datasets, and review captured data for accuracy and completeness while providing structured feedback to engineering and AI teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic systems to perform precise pick-and-place tasks in a production environment.
• Teach and demonstrate correct grasping techniques across a wide variety of SKUs to support training data generation.
• Execute repeatable motion sequences to create consistent, high-quality motion and grasping datasets.
• Review captured data for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to defined standards.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to engineering and AI teams to improve robot performance and data quality.
• Follow established safety procedures and protocols while working in active robotic cells.
• Handle materials and packaging as part of general production and inventory-related tasks.
• Perform general labor duties related to robot operation and production support.
• Accurately track and manage items as needed to support inventory processes.
• Use computer systems to log activities, review data, and follow structured task instructions.

Essential Skills

• Strong attention to detail when operating robots and reviewing data.
• Ability to follow structured tasks and procedures precisely.
• Comfort performing repetitive physical tasks in a production setting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely and consistently.
• General computer proficiency for data review and task documentation.
• Material handling experience in a production or warehouse environment.
• Basic packaging skills related to handling and preparing products.
• General labor and production experience.
• Ability to work reliably in a small, collaborative team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory handling or tracking in a production environment.
• Prior exposure to robotic systems, automation, or pick-and-place operations.
• Comfort working around active machinery and following detailed safety instructions.
• Strong observational skills for identifying data issues or inconsistencies.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams using structured feedback.

Work Environment

You work on-site in a small team of approximately two people, collaborating closely with other robot operators. The role follows a consistent daytime schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in an active production setting with robotic cells and material handling tasks. You spend most of the day on your feet, performing physical activities such as lifting up to 40 lbs, handling inventory, and supporting general production operations while using computer systems to review and document data.

This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
