Campus Mental Health Psychologist - Hybrid

Reporting to the Associate Chief of Clinical Affairs within the Mental Health Service line, the Staff Psychologist works within a collaborative care setting to provide patient‑centered care to a diverse patient population including Yale students, faculty, staff, and their families. Schedule Full‑time; 37.5 hours per week; weekdays 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; flexible schedule. Early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays or recess periods may also be required. Participates in on‑call rotation. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to thrive in an energetic and diverse work environment and work effectively with college‑age populations and international students. Demonstrated clinical skills as attested by colleagues and supervisors. Proven ability to design and implement workshops and outreach services, and work as a constructive member of a clinical team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in the use of an electronic medical record (EMR). Preferred Skills and Abilities Demonstrated experience in treatment of a wide range of patient populations and familiarity with college mental health services. Principal Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and implement individual, group, and couples’ therapy for students in the university outpatient clinic; provide family meetings as appropriate. Conduct patient evaluations and assess patients’ suitability for psychotherapy programs; develop initial disposition planning. Establish positive relationships with patients to administer appropriate treatment. Maintain patients’ charts and reports. Participate in 24‑hour emergency mental health coverage. Provide educational and consultation services to undergraduate residential colleges and professional schools. Provide mental health outreach to the Yale community. Develop materials for educational programs and seminars for professional staff. Interact with internal contacts—patients, families, clinicians, medical staff, and administrators—to discuss treatment of individual patients and implementation of clinical programs. Assess and evaluate the purpose and value of psychological testing and treatment; recommend changes to treatment plans. Analyze data and psychological testing results. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and one‑year experience in a clinical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required License(s) or Certification(s) State of Connecticut Psychologist License or Connecticut Psychologist License eligible. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $82,000.00 – $131,500.00.
