Summary The Assembly Supervisor’s priorities are split between ensuring production objectives are met, continuous improvement is taking place, and that their team members continue to develop and grow in their careers. The ideal candidate will be someo ne with a product engineering background who can focus on multiple areas such as quality, production, and vendor/customer relations. Program Management: Oversees program management for a key product line and manages the product assembly process from start to finish. Production Coordination: Supervises overall production by collaborating with customer service, production control, and paint shop management. Quality & Process Design: Supervises product quality, designs/develops assembly operations for new production, and improves existing processes for quality and efficiency. Team Management: Manages associates' time and attendance according to company policies and procedures. Conducts performance reviews, identifies performance gaps, and creates development plans. Production Meetings: Attends production meetings to review current order status, project updates, required changes, and known downtime or quality issues. Planning & Forecasting: Reviews forecasts for production needs, runs open order reports, and properly assigns work to be completed. Workforce Development: Ensures team members are continuously learning and cross-training to develop a flexible, skilled workforce. Continuous Improvement: Analyzes performance results of their area and drives continuous improvement activity to meet or exceed established safety, productivity, quality, and uptime goals. Safety Compliance: Performs daily 5S Audits to maintain a safe and optimal work environment. Position Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience preferred. Lean Manufacturing: Experience with Lean methodologies such as 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and Value Stream Mapping is highly preferred. Systems & Software: Ability to work with ERP systems. High proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Skills Communication: Ability to interact confidently across all levels of the organization, from production floor associates to senior leadership. Influence & Trust: Ability to function as a strong team player, build deep credibility and trust, and comfortably lead and influence others.
