The ideal candidate has experience working across the tech stack with a solid understanding of software architecture, infrastructure tooling, and engineering fundamentals. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement scalable software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives.As a member of the Boeing software team, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and development to the maintenance and support of the delivered system for our customers. The Boeing NSP Software team fosters a collaborative mentoring environment, allowing you to learn, mentor others, and contribute to shaping the future of our organization.Position Responsibilities: Develops, tests, and maintains web applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standardsReviews, analyze, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software productsDevelops, maintains, enhances, and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrationsDevelops, documents, and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software productsParticipates in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetingsAnalyze, characterize, debug and resolve performance related issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software productsHandles user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedbackImplements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software developmentDevelop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarksExecutes and documents software research and development projectsAdvise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsPerforms software project management activities and software supplier management functionsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standardsPerforms cost benefit analysis to help guide technical solutionsSecurity Clearance:This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s Degree3+ years’ experience designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications) and a foundation in computer science and software development3+ years’ experience with Python3+ plus years’ experience front end web programming (Angular 9/10+, Typescript, JavaScript)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experienceStrong understanding of software architecture principles and design patternsExperience with relational databasesExperience with software development using agile principles and a structured development processExperience in Infrastructure Tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines)Experience in building out regression test suitesExperience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systemsConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Work Location:This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
