Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to fill a dual-role position as a Commercial Service Advisor and Parts Counter Salesperson . This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in both service and parts departments of our commercial truck dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Service Advisor Duties:

• Greet commercial service customers and assess their service needs in person or by phone.
• Open and manage repair orders, ensuring all customer complaints are clearly documented.
• Coordinate with technicians to provide accurate estimates and timelines for repair.
• Communicate repair updates and approvals with customers throughout the service process.
• Schedule service appointments and manage shop workflow efficiently.
• Ensure warranty and fleet service claims are properly documented and submitted.
• Provide detailed service invoices and review charges with customers upon job completion.

Parts Counter Sales Duties:

• Assist retail and service department customers with parts identification, quotes, and order fulfillment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial truck parts, inventory levels, and vendor catalogs.
• Process parts orders and returns accurately in the dealership’s system.
• Coordinate parts pick-up or delivery for internal and external customers.
• Monitor and maintain parts inventory levels and participate in regular stock counts.
• Support technicians by ensuring timely parts availability for repairs and maintenance.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical or vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a commercial truck dealership or similar service/parts environment.
• Knowledge of diesel trucks, commercial vehicles, and heavy-duty truck parts.
• Proficiency in dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Excede, or similar).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-volume setting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
