We are currently seeking a full-time *Litigation Legal Assistant* to join the team in our *Richmond, VA* office. *Successful candidates will have 3-5 years’ experience working with civil cases in Virginia's General District and Circuit Courts.*

As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for personal injury cases that do not reach a desired settlement and are subsequently filed with the court and moved into the civil litigation process.

*Responsibilities:*

Some key responsibilities include:

* Gather and analyze information relevant to claims * Arrange service * Draft or prepare legal documents and file them with the appropriate court * Maintain electronic and paper client files * Calendar hearings and deadlines

*Competitive applicants for this role will have:*

* Proven working experience of 3 – 5 years as a litigation paralegal/litigation legal assistant. * Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices etc. in Virginia's civil courts * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail * The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment * The willingness to be a team player as well as a strong individual contributor * The ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment

*Other desirable skills and experience include:*

* Previous experience in case management software; familiarity with Filevine is a plus. * Paralegal associates degree, other relevant certification, or college degree preferred, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
