J&B Installations is located in Skaneateles, NY with jobs located throughout the greater Central New York area.This position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the roofing systems of commercial buildings such as offices, factories, schools, hospitals and warehouses. Commercial roofers work with various types of roofing materials, including asphalt, metal, and membrane systems, and are skilled in working with both flat and sloped roofs.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)Installation of single ply roof systems such as EPDM, TPO, PVCInstallation of single ply and BUR roof system details and flashingsAbility to interpret drawings, and follow written and verbal instructionsFollow manufacturer specifications during installationFlat Insulation and Tapered insulation layout is a plusLoad, unload, and store materials safelyCut and shape roofing materials to fit specified areasAbide by all safety protocols and regulations are followed, including proper use of harnesses, scaffolding, and other safety equipmentWork with fall protection systems, ladders, and lifts to access high areasAdhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines
