Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular Summary

Join a dedicated team at a Level II Trauma Center in Redding, CA, focusing on cardiovascular surgery. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners with recent cardiovascular surgery experience, particularly in endovascular vein harvesting (EVH). Job Responsibilities

• Assist in approximately 10-11 cardiovascular surgeries per month.
• Perform rounds and write post-operative notes alongside the surgical team.
• Conduct follow-up clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Address urgent patient issues when necessary between scheduled clinic days.
• Support surgical teams by performing evaluation and monitoring of patients.
• Participate in night call duties with minimal call-back hours.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
• State license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications.
• Substantial recent experience in cardiovascular surgical assistance required.
• Specific experience with endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) is mandatory.

License and Certification Requirements

• Clean malpractice history.
• Active/current staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges.
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation.
