# BartenderDrexel Hill CP - Drexel Hill, PA 19026Education LevelNone## Description**Description**: Responsible for supporting bartenders and Guests by completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the bartender.**Position Summary:** Responsible for supporting bartenders and Guests by completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the bartender.**Reports To**: Bartender**Job Tasks:*** Greet and interact with Guests in a friendly professional manner when applicable* Assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service* Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times* Wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars* Prepare garnishes for drinks* Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages* Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas* Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar manager* Maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.* Stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.* Replenish ice at bar* Empty bar trash cans* Attend all scheduled employee meetings* Additional tasks as assigned## Qualifications**Main Responsibilities, Required Skills and Knowledge****Guest Service**: Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet Guests’ needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the Guests’ overall experience.**Communication**: Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with Guests, vendors, coworkers and management. Must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training.**Interpersonal Relationships**: Must adapt to different personalities of Guests and coworkers without losing focus.**Teamwork**: Working together as a team is a critical success factor of any restaurant. Establishing good working relationships is key to maintaining a team-oriented work environment.**Performing General Physical Activities**: Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.**Problem Solving and Conflict Management**: Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.**Analytical Skills**: General accounting and mathematical skills required along with point of sale application knowledge. Must use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome to problems.**Technical Skills**: Must correctly operate various mechanical devices such as POS systems, credit card machines and mixers.**Quality Control and Priority Assessment**: Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided to the Guests.**Language Skills**: Must be able to write and speak English effectively.**Flexibility**: Occasionally works overtime and assists with the workload of others if needed.
