Academic Tutor and Mentor
City Year
As an Academic Tutor and Mentor with City Year, you will serve full-time in a partner public school, providing individualized and small-group academic support in core subjects, with a focus on literacy and math. You will build strong, trusting relationships with students, mentor them in social-emotional skills, and help create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment. Working closely with teachers and a diverse AmeriCorps team, you will track student progress, assist with classroom activities, and support after-school programs. City Year offers robust training, leadership development, and a collaborative culture grounded in social justice and student success.
