We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer – Critical Facilities to support a high-performance, mission-critical environment operating 24/7. This role is ideal for candidates with data center or critical infrastructure experience , especially in always-on environments where uptime is essential.

Candidate Qualities

• Data center experience or critical infrastructure experience strongly preferred

• Experience in 24/7 operational environments

• Strong knowledge of mission-critical electrical systems required

• HVAC and mechanical systems experience required

• Ability and willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

This is a high-impact engineering role where precision, reliability, and technical expertise directly support critical operations.

What You’ll Do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain mission-critical electrical systems including UPS, PDUs, ATS units, generators, and switchgear

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC and mechanical systems including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and AHUs

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system uptime and reliability

• Execute system startups, shutdowns, and load transfers per approved procedures

• Conduct inspections of critical infrastructure and document risks or deficiencies

• Develop, review, and execute MOPs and EOPs

• Respond to emergencies and system events in a 24/7 environment

• Communicate clearly with stakeholders on system status, risks, and performance

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in mission-critical, data center, or critical facilities environments

• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and HVAC/mechanical systems

• Hands-on experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS, and cooling systems

• Experience developing and executing MOPs and EOPs

• Strong troubleshooting skills under pressure

• Client-facing communication and reporting experience

• Ability to work a 24/7 on-call rotation

Preferred Experience

• Large-scale data center operations experience

• Generator paralleling gear and load bank testing experience

• Building Management Systems (BMS) or monitoring platforms

• Technical certifications in electrical or mechanical trades

• Participation in incident reviews and root cause analysis
