About the Role We are seeking highly skilled Principal Full Stack Engineers to contribute to a cross‑functional team building transformative AI agents for HR & Finance. The position plays a key role in implementing tooling strategies, staying informed about industry trends, and ensuring our AI‑driven solutions integrate effectively within the Workday stack. Responsibilities Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver AI‑powered agents that integrate deeply into HR and financial workflows, accelerating intelligent decision making. Participate in a supportive, iterative team culture that values curiosity, learning, and strong engineering practices. Contribute to the growth and success of teammates through knowledge sharing and mentorship. Take ownership of multiple functional areas in our platform — from development to production (“you build it, you run it”). Basic Qualifications 12+ years of experience in software engineering. 7+ years of experience with a web development framework (Python preferred: Flask, Django, or FastAPI). 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript for front‑end / full‑stack development. 8+ years of experience with a relational database (PostgreSQL preferred). Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience. Other Qualifications Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred). Familiarity with the trade‑offs and architecture of modern distributed systems. Knowledge of software development best practices (DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability). Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Elasticsearch. Experience working within fast‑paced, agile environments and multi‑functional teams. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical partners. Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear, thoughtful solutions. Pay Annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and additional locations are listed below. Pay ranges vary based on location. Primary Location: USA.CA.Pleasanton – $206,400USD – $309,600USD. Additional US Locations: $173,300USD – $309,600USD. If performed in Colorado: $182,400USD – $273,600USD.
