Cashier/Barista – Hiring Now | Hillside Cafe, University of Tennessee
Pay: $18/hr
Location: Nursing Building, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN
Hillside Cafe is hiring a Cashier/Barista to serve up great coffee and friendly service to students, faculty, and staff. If you enjoy a fast pace and connecting with people, we want you on the team.
What you'll do:
- Greet customers, take orders, and handle payments accurately
- Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and other beverages to recipe standards
- Keep the counter, bar, and seating areas clean and stocked
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work as a team during busy morning and between-class rushes
What we're looking for:
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work
- Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Barista or cashier experience a plus, but not required
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
