The mission of the Policy Section is to ensure that the federal regulations and the State Plan Amendments (SPAs) and state statutes for the four In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) programs, including the Personal Care Services Program (PCSP), Community First Choice Option (CFCO) program, IHSS Plus Option (IPO) Program, and the IHSS-Residual program are adhered to by counties. The Section works with State and federal partners, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to implement federal and state requirements. The Section develops policy for the implementation of the requirements for the IHSS programs. Job Description and Duties The Supervisor II reports directly to the Policy and Operations Bureau Chief (Manager II) who provides direction regarding Bureau, Branch, Division and Departmental goals and policy so that Bureau project activities and management actions will be supportive of and consistent with them. The Department of Social Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.
