Afternoon Babysitter for Young Children

We are a warm and active family in Los Angeles looking for a reliable and engaging part-time babysitter to assist with our late afternoon routine. The ideal candidate will care for our two wonderful children: a high-energy, ASD Level 2, 5-year-old boy and a sweet 1.5-year-old girl. Key Responsibilities: From 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM, engage our 5-year-old in fun and educational activities while his sister naps, including outdoor play if weather permits. From 3:45 PM onwards, collaborate with Mom to manage both children and assist with early evening transitions, such as providing snacks for our daughter, keeping our 5-year-old occupied with structured play, and bathtime. Schedule: Ideally Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM, with openness to only 3 or 4 days per week. Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour, depending on experience and credentials. Qualifications: Proven experience working with children with ASD, speech delays, sensory processing needs, or related developmental profiles. Experience as an RBT, line therapist, or special education aide is highly preferred. Must have a calm, patient demeanor with the playful energy to support an active child. Willingness to provide at least two professional childcare references and undergo a comprehensive background check. TrustLine registration or Live Scan fingerprinting preferred. Optional but a plus: Clean driving record and valid license for potential local driving or pickups.
