Homestead Gardens is seeking energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Event Assistant. This flexible, part-time position supports weddings, private events, and other special occasions on an as-needed basis based on event bookings. What You'll Do As an Event Assistant, you will help ensure events run smoothly from setup to breakdown by assisting with: Event Support & Guest Service Welcome and assist guests, wedding parties, families, and vendors. Provide exceptional customer service throughout each event. Support event timelines and help ensure details are executed as planned. Assist with seating charts, signage, décor, and other event materials. Help resolve last-minute issues with professionalism and a positive attitude. Venue Setup & Breakdown Set up and arrange tables, chairs, décor, signage, and event materials. Assist with venue breakdown and cleanup following events. Organize and handle event supplies and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the event. Empty trash receptacles and support general event maintenance as needed. Vendor & Team Coordination Greet and direct vendors during setup and deliveries. Assist vendors and event staff throughout the event. Communicate with team members to ensure smooth event operations. Jump in wherever needed to support a successful event experience. Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude. Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, flexible, and willing to take initiative. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Preferred Experience Previous experience in events, hospitality, weddings, venues, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift, carry, move, and arrange tables, chairs, décor, and event supplies. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Perform setup, breakdown, cleaning, and other event-related tasks. Schedule & Availability This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, supplemental income.
