Registered Nurse - Med-Surg / Ortho-Spine

Location: Smyrna, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in a busy Med-Surg and Ortho-Spine unit, focusing on a variety of patient demographics including orthopedic and spine patients, trauma cases, and psych medical holds. The RN will work as part of a collaborative team, providing essential nursing care and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide thorough patient assessments, prioritize care, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information and care provided in the Meditech system.
• Assist in various medical-surgical procedures as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the State of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is optional.
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills.
