Senior Accountant

Perform monthly financial close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and internal control documentation Prepare reports and financial presentations from contract information Review key business terms of contracts to support internal customers Audit loaded contracts and communicate findings to business partners Provide data and calculations for internal and external audit requests Lead cross-organizational projects involving land and tenant lease data Identify and resolve accounting guideline interpretation issues, escalating to the Manager when necessary Administer lease documents in Oracle according to company practices and lease accounting guidance Train new employees and update training manuals Develop relationships across Lease Abstraction, Lease Administration, Land Management, Legal, Landlord Relations, and Finance departments Support process improvement and develop best practices Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required Minimum 3 years’ experience in billing, contract management, or finance required Fluency in Spanish required Oracle experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret complex contracts with multiple amendments Ability to ensure accounting complies with Master Lease agreements and Lease Accounting guidance Excellent attention to detail and strong system and analytical skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite Ability to work independently and collaborate with others Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work with different functional groups and employee levels Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment Approximately 5% travel may be required Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in financial close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, while ensuring compliance with lease accounting guidance.
