Job Summary Job Title: Low Voltage Integration Technician / Apprentice Reports to: General Foreman Location: Dayton, OH FLSA Status: Full‑Time / Non‑Exempt Updated: May 2026 Summary Chapel‑Romanoff Technologies (“CRT”) is looking to expand our workforce and welcome anyone interested in the low voltage cabling, AV and security fields to apply! General Duties and Responsibilities Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling. Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment. Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Repair and install network enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc. Assist in keeping building common and technology spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition. Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI. Update as‑built drawings as necessary, according to department policies. Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc. Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification. Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Knowledge of the low voltage integration or ICT industry. BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required. Valid driver’s license. Language Skills Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers and employees. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use fingers and hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights, and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must commute to field locations and various job sites and navigate around job site locations. Work Environment The work environment may require working outdoors, being exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical and electrical parts, high, precarious places, dust, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight, cold and heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
