IU Health is now offering charge pay for this position. The shift is night, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30). The start date is 06/29/2026 and the end date is 09/28/2026 for a duration of 13 weeks. The job description includes L&D travel experience, facility births/month 200-300, NST (Non Stress Tests), reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), diabetes mellitus, malpresentations (breech / face / brow), multiple gestation, placenta previa/abruptio, pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, RH incompatibilities, uterine rupture, VBAC management / trial of labor, use of external fetal monitoring, use of internal fetal monitoring, use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, administration of blood & blood products, drawing venous blood, start & maintain peripheral IV, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin (oxytocin), prostaglandins, terbutaline, amnioinfusion, assist with high risk delivery, assist with vaginal delivery, forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage/shock, recover C-section, APGAR scores, baby nurse (baby catcher), collect cord samples, ID/security banding, neonatal resuscitation, radiant warmers/thermoregulation, infant identification, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, thermoregulation, epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, opioids, pain assessment & management, Foley catheter insertion, fundus/lochia/perineum care, wound assessment and care, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, bladder distension, couplet care, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy induced hypertension, vaccine administration, Cerner experience. The hospital is a short-term acute care facility with a total staffed bed count of 194, 210, 153, and 174. The charting system is Cerner and parking is free.
