Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Newark, Delaware patient service center to perform blood collections, process specimens, and maintain accurate patient records. The role includes venipuncture and capillary draws for various diagnostic tests with a Monday-Friday schedule and rotating Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- Enter patient data accurately and process billing information
- Prepare specimens for testing and maintain information logs
- Provide customer service and perform administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience or equivalent certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
