Job Title: Senior Cost Estimator Location: Los Angeles - Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA Education: Bachelor's Degree Job Type: Full-time Job Description Support development, maintenance, update, evaluation, and tracking of materials and activities related to all cost estimating activities for the director. Support development, review, and update of all cost-related tasks/suspenses. Develop, review, track, and coordinate cost-related staff packages and action items. Assist the Government Program Office with Cost Estimating/Analysis Execution: Develop, maintain, update, and deliver fully documented and well-supported cost estimates for Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs) and non-MDAPs in accordance with applicable regulations; assess risk and schedule; align Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with SMC instructions; develop Program WBS (PWBS) and ensure compliance; use prescribed software such as ACE-IT, SEER, and PRICE; and apply data from approved databases like USCM. Support and attend government/prime contractor meetings for information gathering to assist in assessing cost estimates. Support development, creation, and update of briefing charts. Support, develop, maintain, and update various cost estimates such as POE, SBE, ICEs, ICAs, SRs, ROM, SCPs, PEO Estimates, and others, ensuring timely delivery. Support activities within RFP reviews, Source Selections, and IBRs. Develop cost-related program inputs for acquisition activities, including RFPs, ASPs, and POM submissions, in accordance with regulations. Create business case analyses, cost-benefit analyses, market surveys, and economic analyses, recording results as required. Analyze contractor cost estimates for consistency with government procedures and crosscheck major WBS elements or cost drivers. Support preparation of Program Office CARDs ensuring completeness and consistency. Provide cost-related support for acquisition reporting such as MAR, SAR, DAES, and others. Incorporate division-level inputs for award fee processes, letters, and briefings. Communicate regularly with senior leadership. Implement quality control measures, report results, and lead process improvements. Participate in ICEAA and SSCAG activities as workload permits. Perform additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements Twelve (12) years of cost estimating experience for aircraft and/or spacecraft applications in government, military, or commercial sectors, with at least five years supporting space systems. Experience with software such as ACE-IT (minimum five years), USCM or other space system databases (minimum three years), and Microsoft Office Suite (minimum five years). Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or Cost Estimating/Analysis, with at least three semester units of calculus. Clearance: TS/SCI Salary Range: $145,000 - $185,000 (dependent on experience) Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary, with some filing and lifting up to 40 lbs.
